Fall on the Mon: Riverboat Photo Safari

Don’t miss your chance to experience Pittsburgh’s iconic Monongahela River Valley in peak fall colors!

Capture views of the region’s beautiful rolling hills and river towns along the mighty Monongahela complete with views of the Carrie Furnaces National Historic Landmark, the Edgar Thompson Steel Works, and multiple “hot metal” bridges. Lucky attendees may even catch a glimpse of the famous bald eagle family nesting between the Homestead and South Side neighborhoods.

Photo safaris on Explorer are led by Ivette Spradlin, a Cuban-American photographer, video artist, and educator who lives and works in Pittsburgh. Light refreshments will be provided during the safari.

Note: Due to the Steelers' home game, this photo safari will depart from Point State Park. The links below are suggested parking locations:
