Reframing Pittsburgh is a five-week photography course and exhibition focusing on the recreation of historical photographs of the region, contained in the Rivers of Steel archives. Through a combination of classroom meetings and self-guided on-location shooting, students will recreate two photographs from a selection of archival images of Pittsburgh's past. Each student's best photograph along with its original counterpart will be included in a exhibition to be held at the Carrie Furnaces Deer Head Gallery in August of 2019. (Framing costs are included in the cost of the workshop.)
Dates: Wednesdays, July 10, 17, 24, 31 and August 7 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Pump House, located at 880 East Waterfront Drive, Munhall, PA 15120.
