Forged in Fire: Workers Picnic & Labor Celebration at Carrie Blast Furnaces
On July 3, 2026, the America 250 Flag Sojourn arrives at the Carrie Blast Furnaces, one of the most powerful symbols of Pittsburgh’s industrial and labor legacy.
This special stop, honors the workers, unions, and communities whose labor built our region and shaped the American story.
As the final major Pittsburgh-area event before the flag continues to Washington, D.C., this gathering serves as labor’s moment in a national commemoration.
